Total monthly traffic limit

This option is applicable for both KVM and VZ virtualizations.

This option can be used to customize total monthly traffic for SolusVM 2 VPS ordered through WHMCS.

  1. Login to your WHMCS administrator web interface.
  2. Open System Settings > Configurable Options.
  3. Click Create a New Group or select an existing group.

We recommend keeping configurable option group for resource selection separated from other groups. You can use one configurable option group for several resources, but do not mix them with Operating System, Application or Location.

  4. Give your group a name, select the product (the one you created earlier) to assign to the group, and then click Save Changes.

  5. Click Add New Configurable Option. You will open a new browser window where you will specify the option settings.

  6. Give your option a name Total traffic limit monthly and select the option type Dropdown.
  7. In the Add Option field, specify the option value following the pattern: TRAFFIC_VALUE|RESOURCE_NAME and then click Save Changes. In the mentioned pattern:

    • TRAFFIC_VALUE is the amount of traffic which can be used by SolusVM 2 VPS.

TRAFFIC_VALUE for the Total traffic limit monthly set in units, which are specified in the Total Traffic limit option of the plan selected in Module Settings of the product in WHMCS. (e.g. 1|1 GiB if the Total Traffic limit unit is GiB or 1024|1 Gib if the Total Traffic limit unit is MiB). Total traffic limit monthly option can only be used if the plan selected in Module Settings of a product has the Total Traffic limit option enabled in SolusVM 2.

    Example of the setting

    • RESOURCE_NAME is the name of resource option to be displayed in WHMCS.

In our example, we are adding options to select 100 GB (TRAFFIC_VALUE 100) and 200 GB (TRAFFIC_VALUE 200) for traffic limit as a configurable option.

  8. Repeat the previous step as many times as many options for traffic limit you want to offer. Once finished, click Close Window.
